The Liar Friends or: The Disbeliever, introduced, translated and provided with interpretative essays by Martin Ebner / Holger Gzella / Heinz-Günther Nesselrath / Ernst Ribbat, Darmstadt 22002.
Following Lukian's collection of miracle and spook stories, the essays discuss Lukian's position in ancient philosophical history and his relationship to magic, offer a comparison with New Testament miracle stories and describe the reception in the motif of the "sorcerer's apprentice".
